They are still dedicated to the project and in the same video, they said that they will continue developing the game. Though the game fell down the priority list, the developers never let it slip away completely. A video was shared by them where it was shown that a lot of developers from the company chose the survival of their family and themselves to be far more important. Since then, the fans were in doubt if the game would be released or not.
The game’s development was halted due to political tensions brewing due to the Ukraine war.
2: Heart of Chernobyl was announced in 2018 and was planned to be released in December 2022 after a delay that extended to 2023.
